Water Droplets (Granada)

Categories
Summary: TEST PARTICLES
Origin

Spherical water droplets produced by a nebulizer.

Main constituent
Destilled water.
Practical significance

Testing the performance of our  experimental setup by direct comparison of the measured scattering matrices to results of Mie computaions.

Particle size Fraunhofer: reff (μm)
rg= 0.8 (lognormal SD)
Particle size Fraunhofer: veff
sg=1.5 (lognormal SD)
Particle size

The two parameters that define the lognormal SD rg and sg are chosen so that the differences between the measured and calculated values for F11 and -F12/F11 are minimized.
